HabeshaFeed is built for diaspora communities to connect, trade, find work, and share housing — safely and respectfully. These Guidelines apply to all posts, listings, comments, messages, and profiles. They work together with our Terms of Service.
Be respectful
- Treat people with dignity. No harassment, bullying, threats, or hate.
- No content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar traits.
- Disagree without personal attacks.
Be honest
- Post accurate listings. Don’t misrepresent price, condition, availability, jobs, or housing.
- Don’t impersonate people, businesses, or HabeshaFeed staff.
- Don’t run scams, phishing, fake giveaways, or payment fraud.
Keep it legal & appropriate
- No illegal goods or services, weapons trafficking, drugs, stolen items, or counterfeit goods.
- No sexual content involving minors, exploitation, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
- No graphic violence or content that promotes crime or terrorism.
- Respect copyright and trademarks — only post media you have rights to use.
Protect privacy & safety
- Don’t share others’ private information (phone, address, IDs) without permission.
- Meet in public places when possible; HabeshaFeed does not verify every user.
- Don’t pressure people for money, personal data, or off-platform contact in ways that feel coercive.
No spam or manipulation
- Don’t flood feeds with repetitive posts or irrelevant promotions.
- Don’t use bots, fake accounts, or coordinated inauthentic behavior.
- Don’t circumvent bans, blocks, or moderation actions.
Housing, jobs & marketplace care
- Housing: be clear about rent, deposits, location area, and who the listing is for.
- Jobs: post real openings; don’t charge illegal recruitment fees.
- Buy & Sell: describe items fairly; mark status when sold or unavailable.
Reporting & enforcement
Use in-app Report on posts or profiles, or Block someone whose content you don’t want to see. You can also email support@habeshafeed.com.
We may remove content, limit features, or suspend accounts that break these Guidelines. Serious or repeated violations can result in permanent removal. We may retain limited information needed for safety and legal compliance.
