These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of HabeshaFeed’s mobile application and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines.
1. The Service
HabeshaFeed is a community marketplace that lets users share community updates, buy and sell items, post and discover jobs, find housing, leave comments, and message privately. Features may change as we improve the product.
2. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old (or older if required where you live).
- You sign in with phone number verification (SMS one-time codes).
- You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping verification codes private.
- Do not impersonate others, create accounts to evade enforcement, or share accounts in a way that violates these Terms.
- Business accounts must be registered by someone authorized to represent that business.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of content you post. You grant HabeshaFeed a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display, and distribute your content as needed to operate and promote the Service.
You represent that you have the rights to post your content and that it does not violate law or others’ rights. You are solely responsible for what you publish and for any deals you make with other users.
4. Acceptable use
You must follow our Community Guidelines. Without limiting those rules, you agree not to:
- Post illegal, harmful, hateful, pornographic, or harassing content
- Scam, spam, phish, or post knowingly misleading listings
- Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or attempt unauthorized access
- Use the Service to traffic in prohibited goods or services
5. Transactions between users
Sales, rentals, jobs, and other arrangements are solely between users. HabeshaFeed is not a party to those agreements, does not escrow funds, and does not guarantee listings, users, or outcomes. Meet safely and use your own judgment.
6. Moderation & enforcement
We may review, remove, restrict, or refuse content, and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, our Guidelines, or the law. We may use human review and automated tools. You can report content or users in the app. Our decisions are final to the extent permitted by law, but you may contact support to ask about an enforcement action.
7. Account deletion
You may delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account). Deletion removes your profile and posts from public view. Messages you sent may remain visible to recipients. See our Privacy Policy for retention details.
8. Intellectual property
The HabeshaFeed name, logos, and product design are ours or our licensors’. You may not copy or use them without permission, except as needed to use the Service.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HABESHAFEED AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US (IF ANY) IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.
11. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify HabeshaFeed against claims arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or others’ rights, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Changes & termination
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept them. We may suspend or stop the Service, or your access, at any time when reasonably necessary.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence require otherwise.
